Learn a careful manicure workflow focused on cleanliness, communication and natural nail respect. This course does not authorise invasive procedures or treatment of nail disease.

1. Workstation preparation

Clean and disinfect the table and reusable tools using products approved for the intended purpose and the required contact time. Follow local regulations and manufacturer instructions. Use single-use files or buffers where required; never reuse disposable items. Wash hands before and after each client. Keep clean and used tools separate.

2. Consultation and inspection

Ask about allergies, sensitivities, previous reactions and the client’s desired length and shape. Observe the nails and surrounding skin. Do not diagnose fungal infection, psoriasis or other conditions. If you notice unusual discolouration, swelling, open skin, pain or possible infection, postpone the service and recommend assessment by a qualified health professional.

3. Shape gently

Choose a shape suited to the client’s lifestyle and nail length. File in a controlled direction with light pressure; avoid aggressive back-and-forth filing that may cause splitting. Do not cut living tissue. Cuticle work should remain conservative and within training and local rules. Never use sharp tools to dig under the nail plate.

4. Polish preparation

Remove old polish using a suitable product, prepare the surface gently and follow the polish manufacturer’s instructions. Apply a compatible base coat, thin colour layers and top coat. Allow adequate drying time. Avoid skin contact with products, especially gel systems, and follow the required lamp and curing instructions for the exact product. Do not improvise curing times.

5. Aftercare and professional practice

Explain simple aftercare such as avoiding damage while polish sets and using moisturiser for surrounding skin. Do not claim that a cosmetic manicure treats nail disorders. Record product sensitivities with consent and maintain client privacy.

Practice assignment

1. Set up a clean/used tool separation system.
2. Draw and label five common nail shapes.
3. Demonstrate gentle filing on a practice hand.
4. Write a refusal checklist for visible warning signs.

Knowledge check

Can a nail technician diagnose a nail infection? No. Should disposable files be reused? No. What if the client reports pain or has open skin? Postpone and recommend qualified assessment.

1. تجهيز المكان

نظف وعقم الطاولة والأدوات القابلة لإعادة الاستخدام بمنتج مناسب مع الالتزام بوقت التلامس وتعليمات الشركة واللوائح المحلية. لا تعِد استخدام المبارد أو الأدوات أحادية الاستعمال. اغسل يديك وافصل الأدوات النظيفة عن المستخدمة.

2. الاستشارة والفحص البصري

اسأل عن الحساسية والتفاعلات السابقة والطول والشكل المطلوب. لاحظ الظفر والجلد المحيط دون تشخيص الفطريات أو الصدفية أو غيرها. عند وجود تغير لون غير معتاد أو تورم أو جرح أو ألم أو احتمال عدوى، أجّل الخدمة وانصح بتقييم مختص صحي.

3. البرد الآمن

اختر شكلاً يناسب طول الظفر ونمط حياة العميلة. استخدم ضغطاً خفيفاً وحركة متحكم بها وتجنب البرد العنيف. لا تقطع الأنسجة الحية ولا تستخدم أدوات حادة للحفر تحت الظفر.

4. تطبيق الطلاء

أزل الطلاء القديم بمنتج مناسب وجهّز السطح بلطف. اتبع تعليمات المنتج في طبقة الأساس واللون والطبقة النهائية ووقت الجفاف. تجنب ملامسة الجلد للمواد، وفي أنظمة الجل التزم بنوع المصباح ووقت المعالجة المحدد للمنتج نفسه.

5. العناية اللاحقة

اشرح كيفية حماية الطلاء أثناء الجفاف وترطيب الجلد المحيط. لا تدّعِ أن المانيكير يعالج أمراض الأظافر. احفظ معلومات الحساسية والبيانات بسرية وبموافقة العميلة.
